Participants of Forum “SELIAS-2015” at ASU

On September 03, 2015, lectures and master classes as a part of the 3rd Caspian Forum of Foreign Students and the 3rd SeliAs Youth Forum of Southern Russia have taken place at Astrakhan State University.

Participants of the 3rd SeliAs Youth Forum of Southern Russia have become guests of Astrakhan State University. Participating in this event, they could get an expert assessment by well-known scientists in the field of intercultural communication between the Caspian littoral countries; they could also discuss the international legal status of the Caspian Sea and express their own opinions about regional geopolitical processes. Master classes in various fields of research activities have also been held at ASU. The range of key issues discussed at the master classes has included quality of life in the Caspian littoral region, the unique position of the Lower Volga region that is a crossroad of cultures and civilizations, development of robotics and engineering systems, and enhancement of visual presentation of information within a media environment. Both the lectures and the master classes have passed in a vivid atmosphere, as they made it possible to analyze cultural, scientific, and geopolitical issues. The speakers and the participants of the Forum have agreed that the area of the Caspian littoral region has an outstanding social, cultural, and research potential and that it is of strategic importance for the local countries.
