Faculty and students of the Chair of Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Automatics of ASU have taken part in the recent Electrical Engineering Forum in Volgograd.

In early September 2015, a delegation of Astrakhan State University that included 46 specialists took part in the Forum, which was arranged by the ETM Company based in Volgograd. That company is a professional distributor of electrotechnical equipment with 23-year experience. The event agenda included meetings with top Russian and international manufacturers of electrotechnical products. Students of our University have taken part in 16 seminars related to issues of energy saving and to modern solutions offered at the market of electrotechnical equipment. They also learnt much about such companies as Nanosoft and CSoft Development represented with information stands at the Forum. Reps of the world’s leaders in electrical engineering equipment have been participants and speakers at the Forum: ABB, Legrand, Schneider Electric, DKC, IEK, Siemens, EKF, Energomera, etc. As for ABB and Schneider Electric, their reps have also taken part in a round-table talk that revealed their experience in implementation of power efficient solutions in the industrial sector. IEK has arranged a master class that demonstrated how to work with cable boxes and fittings for aerial bundled cables. It was a presentation of NanoCAD Electro software that has been of special interest for our students; a number of large project institutes and construction firms apply that software. Al in all, over 3, 000 people have participated in the Forum, which confirms the relevance of that event, as well as a high demand for qualified specialists in the field of electrical engineering and power supply. The Chair of Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Automatics of Astrakhan State University would like to thank the ETM Company for its arrangement of such a useful event.
