Promoting Financial Literacy

The Center of Financial Literacy has been launched at the Department of World Economy & Management of ASU.

The Center of Financial Literacy has been opened at Astrakhan State University. Its main goal is to attract attention to literacy in the field of everyday financial management and efficient application of financial services. The Center is planning to arrange our students’ meetings with experts, as well as open lectures and seminars in “monetary” themes. In his presentation “What Does It Mean to Be Financially Literate?”, Dr. Alexander Koshkarov, Director of the Center, has told about the main financial tools and services, risks and dangers at the financial market, as well as about protection of rights of clients of Russian and foreign banks. The Center aims to enhance our students’ overall financial literacy and contribute to their economical education.
