Exhibiting Our Innovations

As a part of the 2nd Caspian Educational Assembly, Astrakhan State University has participated in an exhibition of innovations together with other key educational institutions of Astrakhan Region.

The event has been held in the very heart of our city – in the ancient Astrakhan Kremlin. The exposition of our University has included:

  • Original designer and artistic works by our students of the Department of Architecture & Design;
  • Academic textbooks and monographs by our faculty staff (the Astrakhan University Publishing House);
  • Exclusive produce by our innovative industrial laboratory that manufactures whiteware and structural glazed ceramics by applying secondary raw materials and domestic natural resources (the Archeoterra Innovative Enterprise).

As for our Collective Application Center to Create Multimedia Content with Virtual Reality Elements, it has demonstrated its adaptive game set based on the Kinect technology; the set is to correct physical handicaps and train people with special health needs.

Students and faculty of our Institute of Researches & Solutions to Technological Tasks have presented a number of innovative technological projects:

  • An electronic developing manual for kids aged 3 to 7;
  • A system that collects and transmits fish biting data via a radio channel;
  • A navigation device for people with eyesight malfunctions;
  • A laser engraving machine;
  • A device for automatic control and count of the number of push-ups at physical training classes and sports competitions;
  • A mobile defectoscope robot.

Thus, this exposition of our innovations has demonstrated a high research potential of Astrakhan State University.
