The Department of Agribusiness, Technologies, & Veterinary Medicine of Astrakhan State University has held the master class Astrakhan Meals: Technology of Local Raw Fish Processing at our Regional Innovative Center of Catering & Healthy Nutrition.


The event aimed to implement new developments in the field of processing Astrakhan Region’s agricultural raw materials.

During the master class, a professional chef demonstrated techniques of cooking dishes from various raw fish (zander, African sharptooth catfish, etc.); the chef also presented the secrets of authentic recipes of the Astrakhan cuisine.


The event was of special interest for our students specializing in food products processing techniques and in Zootechny.
