ASU Joins CAD Faculty Educational Programme

The partnership with Top Systemy (eng. Top Systems) company provided Astrakhan State University with the opportunity to use Russian software to implement CAD educational programmes.

ASU Joins CAD Faculty Educational Programme

According to the agreement on cooperation between ASU and the company, signed this July, the university has been included in the community of Russian universities that train specialists in computer-aided design of various objects.

Assigning a university the status of a participant of the CAD Faculty educational programme becomes possible if two conditions are met. First, university professors must have the T-flex CAD Certified User qualification status. In this regard, from June, 21 to June, 30 2021, the management and employees of the Engineering Project Office, the Caspian Higher Engineering School and Larisa Semenova, Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science & Welding Technology of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics & Engineering Technologies, underwent training organized by Top Systemy company.

The second condition for participation in the CAD Faculty programme is to install academic versions of the T-flex software on the computers of the university. In July, ASU received free of charge license keys for 10 users for various software components.

Astrakhan State University can use the Russian software to implement both higher education programmes and additional professional programmes in the field of computer-aided design.
