Channel One Presented Invention of Master’s Degree Student from Astrakhan State University
Student of Astrakhan State University Nikolay Svichshev has become a character of Channel One program “Good Morning” with a story about his development of Muvic, a mobile submersible for inspection.
Such devices exist in the market, but they lack for lots of necessary sensors and are way more expensive. The ASU scientist’s invention can facilitate the work of ecologists, studying water bodies, greatly.
“We’re trying to introduce all the tasks, set by biologists, to our device. It’s examination of radiation background, temperature, water acidity and ultraviolet amount,” comments Nikolay Svichshev.
Muvic can dive to a depth up to 300 metres. The camera outputs an image on the PC monitor or AR glasses. The device has already been tested in the swimming pool, and in August it will perform its first task during the Caspian Sea bottom expedition.
