ASU Students Learn about Innovations in Journalism

Representatives of the Faculty of Philology & Journalism had a virtual talk with Anna Belikova, Chief Specialist of the RT Service of External Communications.

The webinar started with a kind of “revision”, as the expert has already delivered lectures for ASU students within the 4th Caspian Media Forum. This time Anna Belikova dwelled on fake news and showed how quickly and spontaneously they can appear.

The RT specialist recommended the students to follow innovations attentively and catch new ways of information transfer in journalism in due time. She also talked about augmented reality and spherical videos, or 360-degree shooting.

The online lecture, given by the Moscow speaker, was attended by future journalists, including students from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, China and Mali.

The communication in a virtual format that was new for the students was quite efficient and interesting. Cooperation between the ASU Faculty of Philology & Journalism and RT implies different forms of interaction: webinars, master classes of leading experts and traineeships at the channel which broadcasts from Russia all over the world.
