ASU and Industrialists Will Train High-Tech Specialists Together
Astrakhan State University employees participated in a round-table discussion, dedicated to interaction between business and education on the issues of training engineers and blue collars for the regional shipbuilding industry.
The meeting was held at the United Shipbuilding Corporation of Astrakhan and brought together representatives of the industrial sector, scientists, employees and managers of Astrakhan educational institutions and shipbuilding experts.
Rustam Khalitov, the Director of the shipbuilding yard «Lotus», welcomed the participants and spoke about the main needs of the HR market. Now shipbuilding industry needs competent specialists, who will be given good labour conditions and fair wage. The discussion participants agreed that it is important to raise professionals from the very childhood, which fully corresponds to the strategy of Astrakhan State University on developing schools with different specializations and active profession-oriented activities.
Aleksey Titov, the recently-appointed Head of the ASU Engineering Project Office, told the audience about peculiarities of the strategy and prospects of cooperation between Astrakhan State University and industrialists. The programme implies a global pool of areas, a wide range of projects, oriented on finding talented youth and their training in compliance with current innovative challenges. Neurotechnologies, artificial intelligence, digitalization are becoming a part of all spheres of life and areas of activities, including shipbuilding, and modern HEIs, including Astrakhan State University, take on the task to be ready for these challenges, train professionals-to-be properly and enter joint global programmes in partnership with industrial enterprises.
